Meet the team

From their early days in the “Jesus People” era, David and Cathy have had a passion to fully follow Christ. They had been exposed to various forms of religiousness and found no satisfaction there. Their desire was to know God, know His voice, and find people who were like-minded. That desire opened their hearts to a prophetic word in 1977 which directed them to Las Vegas to pastor. After pastoring for 22 years another prophetic word in 1999 led them to found the church that would become Las Vegas Christian Church.

From the very beginning LVCC was shaped by their vision of being fully committed to Christ, fully committed to the local church, and fully committed to extending the Kingdom of God. The practical result of that vision has been the gathering of people who were truly disciples of Christ, not merely admirers of Jesus; people who know God has planted them at Las Vegas Christian Church, not merely church-attenders; and people who share a passion to reach Las Vegas with the powerful gospel of the Kingdom of God.
